Bodybag

NMB was wheelchair bound for a year as a child. Here, he occupies a spatialized recreation of this experience of immobility, and somatically retells the story through a lens of empowerment.

Research suggests that how you tell your story has a large impact on your physical and psychological wellbeing. How do you tell yours?

This project, about spatializing and destroying childhood traumas was originally imagined as a series in collaboration with the Interagency Council on Housing and Homelessness, through the Harvard GSD Community Service Fellowship. It was indefinitely put on hold due to the COVID-19 virus.
